I have exactly the same type. Found it in a $5 tool bin. Has made my life easier on many occassions. they do go off with a bang some times though when you get a tight ball joint.

You sound like a Toyota mechanic. Please don't ever step inside my workshop with that attitude.
Some of us respect our cars & prefer to use proper tools wherever possible.

Whenever the hammer method is used, use two hammers, A heavier one as a backstop & the lighter one to strike the blow, but never 'a' hammer.

 Re: Ball joint breaker
I bought this B.J. breaker about 18yrs ago, it really does work a treat.

Can anyone tell me how to post a photo into another thread? I wanted to include this photo into the thread about removing ball joints

ok...

right click on the photo, and copy its address. In this case the address is:
http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photos/5599.jpg
(note: this does not need to be on this site, it can be on any site on the net)

where you reply, or start a thread there's a button that says "IMG" on it (near the "QUOTE" button)
click on the button

a little box pops up asking you to enter the URL of the pic you want to add. Paste what you copied before into this box, and click ok.

another box pops up asking you what location you would like to put your photo in your thread. left, centred or right. You can aslo leave it blank which is easiest, and usually most effective.

something like the following pops up where you write your thread:
[ img]http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photos/5599.jpg[img]
this was slightly modified so that it wouldn't show the pic, but the words...

write whatever else you want in the thread and click on submit!
easy...

sing out if you have any probs

Lemonhead, right click the pic and hit Properties and you'll get this url:

http://datsun1200.com/modules/myalbum/photos/5599.jpg

use that one instead because it has the .jpg on the end
