The track was pretty slippery in the morning, and to the Datsun boys credit, none of them went to the infield...unlike some of the big heavy, fuel guzzling V8's!

Rumour has it that either the driver or the Gemmintry were too frightened of the competition .........
Benny was saying how he was looking forward to showing you the fast lines
Maybe at Huntley then .... bring that 20 L of oil though
Cheers

Hey datman,
I just love that shot - thanks heaps !!!
At one stage we had 3 x 1200 & 1 X 1000 on the track at the same time . Ask Benny about his two wheel cornering technique comming on to the straight
Cheers

Hey Dan,
great to race against you and your brother.
That 1000 is QUICK !! But can anyone catch the elusive Chris ?? . Sorry but won't be at the creek, have started making some changes for Huntley on the 17 April and will be pressed to do anything else .
Can't wait to have another go on the GP circuit in May though. Hope we can get another good roll up of quality datto power
Cheers

Re: Wet track = Sideways action
I may even be able to make the one in May.....Is it later in the month?

I am planning an engine upgrade after the state round at Eastern Creek (9/10 April)....so if I can get the engine back together, a sprint would be a great way to run in back in......Do you have a date for that?

Mark.

Hey Mark,
Not too sure as the info is at work, but will post it tomorrow. GP circuit will favour the brave through the kink , hope you can make it. Not that we could keep you in sight but lots of fun when all the dats get together Pics of the sunny look great - I know how much time and $$ can disappear but the result makes it worthwhile. Maybe I'll get to this level one day Well done.
Cheers

Thanks Jeff....I sent you an email of the full size pic .... actually I think it's still going through...it's about 1meg

A sprint at OP GP would be a good way to test the extra (hopefully) horsepower.

Re: Wet track = Sideways action
Well, we don't have a race meeting scheduled for May, so if I can get the Cams chnaged over in a 4 week period (includes pulling the head and changing valve springs), then I might be a starter.

Either way...I might come and take some more photo's if nothing else.

Re: Wet track = Sideways action
Well...I have decided to pull the pin on the April race meeting, so hopefully I can get the car ready for the May Super Sprint. No promises, but it would be a good way to test the car...we have a race meeting at OP in late June, so a supersprint day would be a good hit out.
