Here is a quick pic of an A Series head that I ported myself. It took about 8 hours to do. Based on Std valves and the valve stem guides have shortened. I guess proof that it works will be when I run the car on the track next weekend.

Re: A Series head porting. It went OK, It's still on the old engine sitting in the shed. Upgraded last year to the e85 burning A-series. The cam was more of a rally grind, (74 degrees FIA], and ran well up to ~7,400rpm, Pistons are 76mm oem items. Its an open chamber type head and from memory I took quite a bit off the face to increase compression a little.
I may use it again, maybe in efi turbo application one day... I think it would be a good starting point for that type of build.
cheers

Re: A Series head porting. did you take the short turn radius down to drop the floor of the port also ,and de- shroud the guides, as I found this had allowed a bigger increase in flow than work done on the roof of the port looks like you have a nice even finish ,hopefully all that time to do a good job pays off !
