the highly enthusiastic power levels were because the auto tranny was badly slipping

70Km/h was flat out

The Iron Maiden still can do 90+ Km/h!

after the auto was gone and the 60L 4 speed was in it even revved easier than behind the auto!

"The Defect" is a March 1977 120Y (B210) that was an auto, but I got fed of it playing up when started it was SO sluggish, but then I'd have to spend an hour or two driving it hard to get any power out of it!

not any more! after the conversion I under estimated the difference in power levels and was going sideways - not slghtly sideways like before, this time it was oppisite lock!

maybe the lightening off (carpet, headling all the plastic bits, heater, and radio all gone) has something to do with the the suprise in power to weight ratio!

but I also think that the exhaust has something to do with it - it is still the stock "drinking straw" diamater but has a hotdog (cherrybomb) under the passenger seat I hope for it to exit on the left hand side just in front of the back wheel...
