i found this car in tasmania in a backstreet somewhere. pretty clean except for the missing body strip along the whole body. i saw lots of dattos in tas, 1000's, 1200's and sunny's everywhere still - not to mention the plentiful other datsun/nissan models.

Damn if I was in Tasmania and that was 4 sale I would grab that in an instant.It would make a superb project coupe.

Does anybody know the paint code for this colour on a Sunny, I just bought a Sunny wagon and it needs some touch up work.

Since you have a Sunny wagon, why don't you read the paint code under the bonnet? If it is still legible, let us know what number it is.

The paint code is very illegible (hence why I'm asking the question) I can just make out what looks to be 80_

It might be 807 "Rally Red" (USA color name)

dont know, i didnt get to meet the ower. i stopped off to buy bacon etc and just noticed the car in an off-street. 1st sunny coupe ive seen in the flesh.. not too bad at all

reply : i saw so many datsun's in tasmania im not surprised there are a few close by you Tyrie. i remember driving along a weaving mountainous road and noticing a 1000 sedan drive by. was great.
