This looks like a serious setup.

Excellant work, that old strut tower really cuts into your engine bay in the 1200.

v nice...Im almost envious...apart from the fact I have a set of 50mm throttle bodies to chuck on my engine!!!
I would love to know how much difference it would make on the dyno...

Converted 50mm are ridiculously too large for anything under 2.1ltrs. Honda s2000 run aournd 45mm to make 240hp.
48s are perfect for racing stroker l20b 2.4ltrs and ka24e racing motors and perfect for 26b (2x13b) racing mazda rotaries.

They are 43-44mm from a toyota 4AGE 20 valve. The throttle body and trumpet is the same length as webber without a trumpet so there is plenty of room for a pipercross airfilter and should give good power at 7000-8500.

 Re: New Injection
D , I would also have agreed as would many and choke them to 44-45mm using alloy 50mm tubing with 4mm sidewalls...however, Jeff Taylor said to try them at the full 50mm so thats what i'll do. He has never led me astray and me thinks he is not starting now. I will also be tuning for avgas so it will interesting to see the power gain (if at all)...
Now his theory is with webers it relys on air pressure over the venturi to suck the fuel out and then atomise it ready for ignition, but with fuel injection, it is already pressurised at 45psi and the injector fires at the prescise moment. This allows more aire fuel mix and therefor more bang.
bring on the myth busters....

Nice conversion. I am about to do the same conversion to my A15. How did you get the throttle bodies so clean?

Converted it will be interesting to see if they get enough air velocity to help air/fuel mix.

Anyone here know who made the spacer plates?

Also anyone know who can make custom alloy inlet manifolds?

 Re: New Injection
The ramstube was from my local speed shop he gets them spun and has a good range. I had the base plate machined up to fit the 4AGE setup.

They haved change the format this year. They are going to have legends of the ARC, past winners. but the organizers have asked if Murray Coot could use my car so i will be co-driving instead.
