Thanks,I will be doing regularity trials more than anything at Morgan Park raceway at Warwick & some club days at Darlington Park at Ormeau.I have not raced this coupe yet as I have only had this car for 3 months but my first meeting in '03 is on Feb 7,I will let u know how they go! Cheers Peter.

Darlington Park! That place is fantastic! I'd love to get a run out there - it's not an easy place to get into. If its a multi-club event they have, let me know PLEASE!

take the trim strip running along the sill off & fill the holes,as the strip catches dirt & moisture & the rust starts in the holes the strip is attached to.learnt that from experience with a 1200 coupe,which was very badly rusted in both sills.we just got some heavier guage sheet bent to suit & replaced both sills,which also stiffened the shell up noticeably.

I paid $1650 for it .It only had standard drive train but all the susp has been upgraded to stanza struts & 200b discs,160lb springs & reverse eye race in the back.Full steel roll cage & sparco road race seat with sabelt harness.As u can see I have fitted a 1500 with option 1 c/r 5 speed & shortened bluebird diff w/discs 4.4lsd.

It's 8/73 plated.There was 3 spots of rust on the car when I got it,1 spot on each door & 1 spot on pass side guard.On the sill is a dint that was there when I bought it,rest of the body is in good nick!

yeah that is pretty good consindering its 30 odd years old.....did you pick it up cheap (how much)? cuase i am lookin for a coupe but i dont know much about the datto coupe prices

coupes can be quite cheap, a few hundred, or expensive, 4000-5000, basic diffrence is rust level and a few mods, i wouldnt be too concerned about mods, with a 1200 as youve probably discovered they are cheap and easy but rust can be a pig!

what year model is it? how much rust did/does it have? looks like there is some in the sills
