Yes Mike,i've just come home from the new owner session at Q.R.,there where three novice brothers driving, nice guys with a good attitude and willing to listen, only one of them had an off.
They also had a mate with a skyline and one of the brothers had his daily driver WRX both of which where on the track at the same time with everyone swapping around.Guess what, neither the rex or skyline could keep up with the thou, granted they are all novice drivers but they where totally gob smaked at how the little thing goes.
They now have a new appreciation for power to weight ratios and are converted.
As a matter of interest, the quickest of the boys was 6 seconds slower than the car is capable of,not that i told them that, they did well and are hanging out for more.

I love this picture! A high res scan would be great to use as a desktop or simmiler! Or a big laminated poster!

10" wide is massive for a thou! That would be a fair whack of overkill wouldnt it? You wouldnt need to brake just hammer it down the straight and turn in!

Nah Chris,10" high and 6" wide with Bridgestone slicks back in those days.
I use a copy of the same wheels on the KB10 now but with Yoky's

Yes and to lower the C.G without altering geometry too much but most importantly to make up for a super short diff for the B10 that was'nt,and still is'nt available.

The wheels are widened Cooper S with machined down 12" centres - makes them handle like there on rails

Well done EVILSIM it never ceases to amaze
me how some of these photos have survived
the years. Greg(vixen)is correct on everything he has said. The original photo was taken by Peter D'Abbs at Sandown about to apex Shell corner.I purchased the wheels from Bill Evans (Datsun Racing Team)lead driver at the time, spacers and modified drums from Gordon Dobie, hung on some new slicks and off we went.My son is keeping the tradition alive with a quik 1000 sedan in improved production, but sadly not for much longer as we have decided to sell the car by expressions of interest to build another car Regards Rob Souter

Yes,i was too lazy to signwrite around the handles so took them off.In later years when it was turned into a full blooded Sports Sedan the rear doors where welded shut. Cheers Bert

sheesh Bert, you have made it right up to Legend status now..

I hope the B10 you just sold has a good home, I was trying to convince the cook I HAD to have another thou..

it would have been long trips for you for training though..

If the wheels are 10 inch customs it would be gordon dobeys creation or copy.
However he played with 2 door sedans b10s for Nissan back then.

Taking its rightful place out in front.

If the B10s had had a bit more power from the factory, say like the 1200 sss engine, they would have been unstoppable.
