Alloy looks like it has been dipped. Possibly a light bead blast.

The cast steel bracket has been electroplated, in a gold/amber colour.

Some alloys come up real schmick with a quick touch up with paint stripper. It's a bit risky though, you sorta need to know what alloy will behave with the powerful chemical, most times you can tell by the finish/look but you need to know what will respond well or what will begin to corrode/disintegrate.
