I had to fabricate the bend as it is too tight to get a mandrell bend in

that is very immpressive! I have never been good at working with angled pipe work. I am a refrigeration/air conditioning mechanic by trade so that should be a big concern!!!! no problem with pipe benders though has anybody seen the flexible steel ducting? it is made from mild steel and is a corrugated duct-like product. good for using where there is alot of heat, used to use it next to hot water pipes and gas burner extraction systems for air vents. it was fully flexible and quite strong. maybe it could be used in areas like that??

Lots of Japanese mags show that this style of pipework is very fashionable. I think they call it Lobsterback pipework.

phunkdoktaspok that is correct it is called a lobsterback
blofly quite easy to achieve it just takes a bit of time and patients you just draw 2 radius one for the I.D and one for the O.D and then the width of each piece so that you can see it on paper work out the angle of the cut and away you go (it goes into a lot mor detail than how I just explained but this is the easyer way to explain it )

blofly I forgot to mention that flexy stuff you mentioned it probably would leak at a guess because under boost 25psi but than again I might be wrong as I've never seen the stuff and I dont know how it is held together
