on some models, this is where the coil is from factory.

Looks great b120dat, just a tip if you havent already done it, is to file away the bridge on the inlet manifold, where the primary and secondary throats from the old hitachi carb mounted up to, underneath the weber adaptor, so that there is one large hole that matches the size of the weber adaptor, this significantly improves the flow.

Cheers

yeah i read that some where i think it is call the "plaeum" area or sometihng like that

do i need special tools to do that? because it neeeds to be smooth to allow nice flow

(yeah benny how did you go on the carbs?)

When i had a downdraught setup, all i used to modify the manifold was a hacksaw blade and a file. worked fine.

(when i called the guy about the carbs there was no answer)

Cheers

For those not familiar with the idea, if it's a thick adapter, use a large round rasp to make quick work of it, then fine it up with a file.

What kind of coil is that? All the 1200s here have traditional round coils.

its a "GT40RT" coil its a high perfromance it just creates a better surge for you to get a better spark, it says on packet: starts the car better quicker, higher spark, larger surge etc

i bought coil, top gun leads, new dizzy cap, new rotor and i changed my spark plugs

A better coil makes a lot of difference. I got a accel , the big yllow coil, the name is, super coil by accel, and it starts faster, stronger, has better spark at all speeds.I also have a 32/36 in my A15. I also noticed that area to be grinded, I will do it upon taking the head out for some valve and port work. I noticed, though, that if I am to make the manifold as big as the adaptor's opening, then, there is going to be very little manifold wall left. How far can I go, how much is too much, I think that the change in response will be noticeable, there is , right now a part of the stock manifold that hinders flow.
