Thanks dd. Lots of people payed their 25 Aussie Dollars on the day because it was a busy day. For $25 you got 5 Klms of fun and excitment with the money going to a worthy charity. Good publicity for the sport of Rally with lots of positive feedback from happy customers. We were supposed to stick to around 60% of rally pace but I must admit I went quicker sometimes just to scare the "big mouth" know alls that got in with me. Video game experts soon realised they were out of their depth. Turned out to be quite funny at times
A good day was had by all.

I must admit I haven't been In with Oglvie at race pace so It'd probly give me a good workout. But then again riding in Nathans Skyline really puts you in your place

I agree; He's one quick old man behind the wheel of his coupe and great to watch when he's fully committed. I think anyone that has been around motorsport and competing for a long time tends to surprise any unsuspecting passengers that are willing to jump in for a ride. I remember some thrill seekers were speechless at the stop point after only 5 Klms and then you turn around and remind them that you were only at 60% of race pace and you normally do 120 Klms competitive distance. Most poeple were surprised by the forces exerted on your body even when they are strapped into 6 point harnesses and on a fairly good bit of dirt.
dd - there's another ride day in September so book your flights early mate
