I have two fuel pumps. I got one with the a15 i bought and i got one with an a15 head i bought because the a15 came with an a12 head. Question is which one should i use? Does it matter? The top one came with the engine and the bottom with the head? They have different shapes..

 Re: Fuel pumps
the difference seems to be mostly the top cover.pick the one that flows the most is my
suggestion.leaving them this way will cause the internals to dryout & not pump,so some crc-56,wd40,lubricating oil down the inlet, put some fuel hose between the inlet & outlet & circulate the oil round to keep it all good.

 Re: Fuel pumps
It does matter as there can be differences between the actuator arm length for A12's and A15's.

 Re: Fuel pumps
Teretonga is right. The pumps themselves will all fit, but the 1000 and 1200 engines used a diferent shaped arm than the 1974 and later engines.
Early ones had a short stumpy arm, while later ones used a longer arm & they won't work on the wrong engine.

Place your finger over the inlet port of each pump and fully cycle the arm a couple of times and see if it will hold vacuum for a while. If not, then thats the pump to put in the bin.
