Shes just ticked over 19700miles. Orignal and matching everything. Can not find any rust either which makes me very happy as ive never seen a rustless 1200. I know ive been hacking it out of the other sedan for months. Auto as well. Cant fault it it just runs. Although i did throw the points to the crapper and put in a electronic dizzy.

While I think it's a beautifull thing, I would change a couple of things.

1. Dual circuit brake system.
If this one is an early girl with a single circuit brake system, then just use all the stock parts from a donor car.
2. 13" wheels, up to 5-1/2" wide with 185 x 60 x 13 radial tyres for safety reasons.
Steel wheels with covers, or tastefull mags, it doesn't matter. For me it would be a safety issue. Stock 1600, 180B, or even Stanza wheels would fill the bill here.
3. Ummmmm, no, that about does it for me.

Thanks guys. Im so happy with it. Its one of those cars that i can drive around in slow(cause it is) yet still enjoy every bit the same. Good for the old license.

Dodgeman i may upgrade a couple of little things that still leave it original. At the moment though it suits me fine. At recoed single master cylinder which will do 4 the time(although point taken on safety there) but the 165r12 radials are quite adequate i believe for the car.

Yeah steve you'll have to head up soon. Head for abit of a cruise through the hills while your out this way.

And for the purists im 99% sure it will stay 99% original.

Very nice.

What's the story on those wheels? Are they stock 1200 caps painted up strangely? Or are the alloy wheels of some kind?
