They wont be the same, different wheel sizes, diff ratios etc...

thats the best thing about the a series lots of thrashin but not really enough speed to get in serious trouble with the boys in blue,good engine to keep ur licence in

3400rpm and u are doing only 100km/h?
At 3400rpm I am doing 110km/h on my speedo.

At exactly 4000rpm I do 130km/h on the speedo.

The old 1200 Wagon used to pull 6600rpm in 4th But there was more oxygen on earth back then...

I had my old coupe valve bouncing just under 7grand on the skid pan when i was young and stupid and liked destroying things.

Bloody thing just wouldnt die, sold it for $2500.

ahaha yeah my valve bounce is somewere around 6500rpm. iv pulled 6000rpm in fourth at 160km/h. dads wagon goes out to 8000rpm thanks to double valve springs. and i know B120dat pulls 9000rpm with his A14

I would believe that.
The A series engines does make noise and bit of vibrations at high rpm's and sounds like it is going to blow up.
But if you let it idle afterwards and rev it lightly to see if there is smoke.
Well, what do you know. It is still fine.
Lets try again and again and again...............
until the end of time.

yeah............ i keep it below 6000rpm, thats when we were doing a 100km/h on the back roads on the cruise trying to keep up with the fuel injected turbo boys. poor A -series got thrashed.
