there are some drainage holes in the bottom of the tray to let the water out.. the tray is actually pretty rooted, so it is better having that on that having the sketchy old beat up tray..

i bought it how it is, so im not sure what wood is in it... makes it a bit smoother, sticks to the road a bit more... and na i dont really put much in there, only a surfboard if i head down the coast..

Wouldnt water sit under it if it were to get wet? I had a look the other nite at Harry's diner and it does neaten it up somewhat.

You're right about adding a bit of weight, but it sure looks sweet. It should ride really well with a bit more weight in the back. I assume you're not going to carry much in there with it looking so flash. What sort of timber did you use - merbou or jarrah?
