 Re: datsun 1200
Hey Guys, it's been a long, long road but I've finally reached my goal... It's taken many years of searching for parts thanks to a fellow ebayr from Australia I have the right hand side mirror to match. I have the origianl tack. This past Sunday, July 30, it made its first showing at an Old School show and we brought home 2nd place interior and one for people's choice award for best in show, my son the car's owner was very excited for getting these trophys he excepted them himself, what a moment in history for his little 5 years of life. I will be posting pictures of this event soon please check back.

Thanks Dodgeman for your comments and for your great advices in the past regarding the carburator. It would be a great pleasure to meet you someday, for you seem to have great knowledge for Datsuns. And thanks to all the Datsun 1200 members for the positive feedback and all the info I found on this website that helped me put the 1200 back together and get it right the first time. I'm already thinking of my next big adventure. What will be next? Please stand by to see.

Thanks for your kind words, but if I came to the US, I would need a whole year to be able to catch up with the many friends I have made over the years. It would be a great way to retire, but would take a lotto win to be able to pull it off, & I can't see that happening anytime soon.

Next project? Why, what you need is a B10 to fix up. There seems to be the odd one or two in Canada, so to get a left drive one, you won't need to leave the Continent, just the Country, but hey, Canada is just up the road apiece.

Mmmmmm USA based B10, how unique is that. [yes, I realise that there are no 'degrees' of uniqueness.]

Very tidy. Great effort! It's wonderful to see these little cars being looked after so well.

The guy who owns that Coupe has had it from new. It's only ever had a clutch replaced and is always garaged, has no rust, and I heard recently it was for sale. I hear he's asking $4500.

that was one tidy car i recon he will get that for it to

What do I think? I think that has to be one of the sweetest 1200's to roll on the surface of the earth. We have watched this one as it was being rebuilt for a while now & it has come up much better than new.

You have every reason to be very proud.
Congratulations on a great job brilliantly done.
