 Re: I am building it.
There was the T, 2t and 3t yes I should have said T series. Theres also a 3t twin cam turbo which can be raped to be used on a pushrod 3tc or 2tc, just think no pollution gear and 118hp for the 1.8ltr twin carb from factory.

4 cyl pushrod 800hp yes small toyota pushrod engines can.
Imagine the corollas with the 100kgs disadvantage against b110 yet when they brought out the twin cam version 1.3 ltr to compete with the excellents twin cammer and 100kg more weight they ruled. Only with injection and 100kgs less did nissan rule again so yes Toyota engines arent a bad at all. Remember whos won the last 2 or 3 drift d1 in the states... 4ag sprinters.
The 4ag is much stronger than any honda vtec engine bar the s2000 from factory.
The 3t bottom end is known to be the grandfather of the 4ag.
Hey El bruto R u still on earth??

I think these guys like the t motors because it's easier to milk high hp out of them vs. an l series.

I think he said Mitsubishi 2.6.

Notice the camshaft area of the block:

Camshaft side of engine
.
This is not an A12 like the Head Games engine.

Well, I'll join in here. If you bash this swap but support wanker, I mean Wankel, rotary swaps then you are just a hypocrite.

 Re: I am building it.
Lets be fair guys and open minded rather than ignorant brand only rednecks like holden lovers. The 2t engine is a japanese design excellence for a pushrod engine. It is crossflow, hemi-chambered and central spark plugged. Remember its a pushrod engine with 105hp with stock carb and 1600cc in twin hitachi or su form 114hp and in full race form this design is 8hp shy of the most worked 2tg twin cam head twin brother. Its more reliable than any nissan engine and like the 3k can go forever without major servicing ive owned many toyotas and nissans and toyo although heavier have always been more clockwork. In Japan, Toyota has the same following for those who want reliable motoring (albeit boring!) for 40 years. Unlike other companies Toyota always gave people value for money as were nissan failed (renault owned now) Toyota remains Toyota not GM owned or Chrysler owned like the other jap car companies and although Nissan have been competitors for years, they are both to be considered allies against evil giants like chev and mitsubishi. Remember Toyota also used the 2y,3y,4y big brother pushrods that evolved from the 5r hilux engine to power its commercial range van and trucks were nissan big capacity low service pushrod engines. Toyota produced many chain driven engines but knew Pushrods are the best for reliability. My restricted stock all cast iron 5r engine a 104 hp 2ltr engine in my dyna 4.5tonne camper has clocked 680,000ks and still overtakes trucsk uphill at 120ks with everything including the kitchen sink and no aerodynamics square box with parachute type luton peak!.
Its good to do your homework before you discredit even the .05% developed rotary compared to pistons and give credit were its due. Some smart people went the L-series as a cheap horsepower route and this person decided to go for an easy but simple to service high factory hp 2t. Unlike the chain spitting 1.6ltr OHC saturn mitsu engine which looks similar but some confused with the 2.6ltr version, this baby is again pushrod!!! its powerful simple and advanced enough to produce 200+ hp in Na form.

 Re: I am building it.
Hmmm... I hadn't thought about Toyota remaining independent. I guess that just leaves Toyota and Honda, everyone else is minority or majority owned by big conglomerates.

Anyways, there is a certain charm in using Nissan engines in Nissan cars. But as you say the Toyota engine is a good one.
