Yeh I'd take them off too, but you have to remember the owner is an old guy.
I heard he had it for sale, and was asking $4500 but he's still driiving it around. Why would you sell it....it's always garaged, has no rust, and he'd never buy anything like it now that'll last as long as this one has. This one will probably outlast him.

Exactly, and the guy who owns it is a top bloke too. He'd sit and chat to anyone.

I absolutely love this car. I love the colour and the originality. I really hope that if he does sell it the next owner cares for it appropriately.
DTW - if it is ever for sale please let me know as this is exactly the sort of 1200 I could see my Father enjoying.
Regards Matty

The owner usually heads to the bakery on the weekend and sits and reads his paper in the coupe out the front while he's there.

If I see him there I'll have a talk to him and let him know there are people interested in his 1200 who want to keep it totally original. I'm sure he'd like that and he'd most likely be interested in talking. I'll let you know. dtw.
