rallycar, 4nik8, shoey, datman55, anyone... hows everyones cars going in datnat prep?

i have pulled mine apart to do everything properly now that i have had a little drive. finished welding in my big trans tunnel yesterday and put an absolute walletload of body deadener all through the inside today. also made up a much better gearbox crossmember that bolts to the existing threaded holes on the inside of the tunnel, giving alot more room for the 3 inch exhaust.

carpet and seats will be going back in over the next few days and then its back to getting the driving and running sorted.

anyone else running the last minute gauntlet for datnats?

its more like a loud engine noise. the car will sound normal until the wastegate opens up to vent excess boot, then it acts like an exhaust pipe stright from your motor, unmuffled. ony when you are on boost tho...

well i took off the front gurads expecting to see gaping rust holes, and there was nothing! yay! so i went up to bummings and said to the guy "you remember that add in the eighties where the guy got that metal strainer for peas and sprayed it with that grey stuff and it sealed..." and he went and got me a can of this stop leaks spray. sick. so i'm gonna clean up the inside of the upper bit where the dash goes and spray the bejesus out of it. thanks for the help fellas

yeah that was me, 15 x 6's at the rear and 12 x 5 delta's at the front! now i am running some non turbo z31 300zx 15 x 6.5's 195 95 15 tyres. struts are r31, so i'm not sure on the fitment of these to stanza etc. front clearance is minimal at this stage.

i just got my motor rebuilt (CAturbo), and the engine builder said not to go any fancy shmancy crap. genuine nissan graphite composite stuff every time. i was gonna fork out a couple of hundred bucks, and he said don't bother. costs eighty or ninety bucks from nissan. CA's have a tendancy of blowing head haskets!
