I have the same problem with the import front guards from Taiwan! I thought it must be a wheel alignment problem at first- untill now. I run 205/60 R14 at rear and 185/60 R14 in the front. justin

Does anyone know where to get wheel flares either second hand or new? I've heard it's also possible to get the guards rolled out - does this work well? thanks Justin

Hi Bob good advice- my tyres seem to be wearing more on the inside edge which would suggest 'toe out' as you said! justin

Does anyone have steering which is very light or sensitive (ie. when going over bumps, the steering wheel turns easily and so you need to keep a very strong grasp on the wheel to stay in control)? Is this normal for 1200's or is there something wrong? In most other cars, the steering seems stiffer and is not so effected by bumbs in the road. Maybe I could swap a steering box from another car? That's true, but if a SR20 non-turbo was registered and road legal, it would be a simple matter to bolt up a turbo which would not be so obvious if you were involved in an accident. If you did not have an SR20 with an engineers certificate, it would be a serious risk! justin

If a registered SR20DE had a turbo installed and then had an accident, it would be unlikely (in my opinion) that the NRMA would pick it up. I had an accident in my datsun coupe which had an A15 and five speed (a modified vehicle). The NRMA inspected it for insurance, and I ended up getting $2000.00. I had no engineers report, so they could have voided the entire claim! There is still a small risk the insurance company will discover it though... Justin

Yes I have wondered that myself-he must have some fairly good connections in the RTA! The only thing I can think of is that state rules vary, but I'm unsure... justin
