Hi everyone,

Thanks for replying to my question about wheels (Beginner question). What I seem to have have gathered is that for wheels, as my car is not lowered, I should be able to
get away with 13x5.5's. Tire sizes I'm not so sure of, any ideas on that. I believe the frame is stock, no lowerings, etc, on a 1200 fastback coupe. Thanks.

185x60x13 is the safest bet.
205x60x13 also fit DEPENDING ON RIM OFFSET.
185x60x14 can also work but make the car stand a bit tall.

If you are not sure, go for 185x60x13.
They look nice, handle nice, stop nice (esp in wet), cost okay and will still fit if you lower it later.

Don't buy cheap brands or name brand economy tyres.
Cheap tyres should be banned because they trade price for safety.
Get a moderate sports tyre.
You'll pay about 25-50% more but they will stop better and handle better (esp when going faster than
average around those corners).

i have 13x5.5 all round with 185/65 front, they scrape on corners, 205/60 rear and they fill out the guard nicely, i also run 195/65-14 sometimes but in 5th gear its
a bit tall

I prefer to run 185/65 14s, for a comfortable ride, however with the taiwanese reproduction front guards the tires do rub. The original guards are thicker and a different
wheel arch profile. I also suggest 185/60 14s, they fit nicely. It's interesting 13 inch 185/65 rub, must be those cheapo import guards at play.

dattodude i forgot to mention that the hotwire spacers allow the front tyres to stick out of the guard 1 inch, and the rears level
with the guard.
i think theyre off of a sigma???? bye shane...

I have the same problem with the import front guards from Taiwan! I thought it must be a wheel alignment problem at first- untill now. I run 205/60 R14 at rear and 185/60
R14 in the front.
