Ah, yes Andrew does have a CA18, but the gearbox is a stumpy skyline with a CA18 bellhousing... Justin

Does anyone know if it's possible to fit the standard CA18DET gearbox in a 1200 tranny tunnel? I've heard that it's too long, but why would that be a problem? (i know the engine will fit, I just don't want the hassal of finding a different gearbox!) Justin

Davo I think it's an excellent idea- if everyone had a page for their datsun 1200, there would be so much information to share, and members could get to know each other better.

hi I'm sure it would be possible to install a v6 into a 1200 coupe if you want it badly enough! You may need to use a different gearbox as even an automatic transmission tunnel is small. Another concern is the registration requirements which i know in Australia, but not in the US. You could not get a V6 1200 road registered in Australia! If you just want to race it, it's a different story... Justin
