Is the fuel pickup point suitable to avoid sucking air on cornering? Also consider placing the fuel reg after the Carbs to ensure the preferred pressure and volume supply. The Fuel Reg ideally should be the last regulation point before return to tank.

They are all the same. LHD and RHD versions are not interchangeable though.

B-Projects have them listed.

I am in no way going to do so but his comments did make me wonder if it would be possible to pull 10-15lbs out of the block. Given the bare block is all of 75lbs I doubt it but it does make me wonder.

Tomei took this approach with the Formula Atlantic/Pacific A-series power-plants.

At least you could remove all those unused /unnecessary external bosses and mounting points. No point carrying around mass if you don't need to.

I guess it pays to read closely before passing judgement. At no point did I say 7K RPM. What I have written is a $7K cost to build the engine. I have my doubts about A-series engines producing power at 10,000 RPM, Maybe overun RPM but certainly not producing power.

Peak power from memory on my engine was at 8450 RPM, than fell off from there. As for 40 DCOE 2 Weber with 35mm choke tubes, 45DCOE would have little to no massive advantage. Higher top end maybe at the consequence of bottom end. The irony of all this shoot from the hip chit chat about peak power, is that I am more interested in the torque the engine produces and how consistent the torque delivery is.

I have no doubt people hand out their money to others to get big power from an A series but to hallucinate it made more than Nissan works sunny cars is frankly well... hilarious like a Benny Hill episode. Nissan works would be gutted to race such a dreamboat.

I normally dont bite to these types of jibes. but David, Really????

To compare my build to Nissan works engines, is not like for like. for exeample being 200 + cc's larger than TS Cup A series, @1525cc, running it on e85 and 15:3:1 static comp. As I have said many times, a Dyno is a tuning aide, the numbers ultimately mean jack #OOPS#. If the TS cup regulations were open to anything goes, im sure higher power output were very much doable.

So just to be absolutely clear, you're asserting that i'm dreaming that the race prep engine is capable producing in the vicinity of 120 HP at the wheels.

What ever floats your boat I guess. If I wish to spend my money on a relic of an engine to produce higher HP than it was originally designed to do, it doesn't make good economic sense, however that's where the satisfaction comes into it, to make that sort of power. The money can mostly be attributed to quality components, machining time and treatment processes such as Nitriding, in the interest of reliability. Things you do for naturally aspirated. Bang for buck however, its a more viable option to fit a snail to the side.
