hi. unfortunately there dosent appear to be any adaptors to fit L SERIES to a series would be great if there was. only know of Dallow kit for toyota gear box to a series.

hi. our little 1000 has all the power we need(150hp at the back wheels which mathmaticly eqates to 190-200 hp at the flywheel). last year was roberts first time ever in a racing. he picked the 1000 because no one else up here has done one , andtrying to develope the car and him has been slow. chassis developement is hard working with a transverse front spring and getting all the power to the road.you and craig have had more time at it hope fully this year we may get a handle on it.very small buget.

this motor has done 4 2day sprint meetings at morgon park plus friday practice,2 2day sprints at stanthorpe,pittsworth steet sprints,6 hillclimbs at mt cotton all in 2004.
its done stanthorpe last month and this weekend is morgan park. the motor seems down on hp now will be rebuilding it shortly,should only need rings lap valves in and gaskets.

SOME SPECS

All the porting and valve work on the head are done by Greg which is where a lot of horse power
is made on datsun motors. It runs 2 x 45 webers,
4 into 2 into 1 extractors, simple electronic ignition, 10:1 compression ratio, valves and springs are Greg's secret,bottom end of motor is
standard.
80% of the power is produced by the cam grind that I run, which I got when I worked for the datsun racing team in the 60's & 70's the rest of the power is from the knowledge I have learn't over the years on how to build and screw a motor together that is strong and reliable.
Anymore information would give away all the tricks of the trade and everybody would be able to build a motor with similar horse power to mine.

To all you people that keep talking about MY 200hp a15 should be talking to me as i built it and has been running sprints and hillclimbs for the last year and is due for a rebuild shortly.
Jonathan lane of fast lane automotive in nerang did all the tuning and dyno work so you could verify horse power with him,and stop talking so much rubbish
