if i biuld the ute to the engineers specs and he passes it, can it back fire on him or me if RTA or transport inspect the car? or is it if it is passed no questions asked sort of thing?

Hey guys want to get as much info from you regarding engineering an SR20DET in a 1200 ute. Supposidly it cant be done in queensland from unreliable sources. just seen the Finished Mini me - (AWSOME JOB!!) and thats fully engineered right? Mini Me - can you give us some information on what the engineer requiered for brakes etc. Apparentley its "easier" to register and engineer mod ect in NSW?????

looking for info on 1000 utes
what years were they biult?
weight?
any mint ones around - pics?
whats the max size enginge you can put in? im thinking Toyota 4AGZE turbo model would work very nicley.

hey smurf go to google n type in datsun 1200 ute in image search and its there. when you click on it it brings the web site up with full details on it. its called Spiro's ute.
hope it helps might have the colour name in details section.

yes the motor is built freshly with all brand new components. so with the standard CR (which is?) with all running to plan we could get close to 10psi safley? what fuel do you forced induction boys use in street cars?

could it be valve bounce at higher revs? just a guess cause i drove a ute today and as it hit 6000rpm it hit valve bounce n sounded pretty bad and rough. my old man says the valves would just need replacing with heavy duty items if we wanted to rev past 6. which we all do.....
