Well done mate! Which class were you in?
Are you heading up to Bathurst in December?

My sister and I competed in the Jenolan rallysprint yesterday in the little 1200. It was her first time navigating and my first time driving (i've navved for my uncle before) so it was a serious learning curve, but we brought it home in one piece. Considering the few gearbox issues we had and that our terratrip wasn't working, we were stoked to win class A and come in at 14th overall out of 28 starters and 23 finishers. If we had saved 10 seconds we would have finished 12th too. Over an 8km stage my time improved by 30 secs after three runs, so there is lots of time to be made up.

Does anyone know if/ where you can get close ratio gears for the toyota t50 box? We really struggled to get up to speed because of the big ratio difference between 3rd and 4th.

We're competing in the AMSAG rookie series next year. Hopefully there's a few more 1200's out to battle with.

clicky

Do you know if it is an 'option' box? Do you know the ratios?

Woody I had my dates all mixed up with the bathurst speed weekend, I'll come up for the weekend for sure. I don't know if I'll have the car running in time though.

Cheers

G'day Kurt, I'd love to come but I'm competing at Oran park on the 5th. Might come up and watch on the 6th, though.

Cheers,

Ian

ITEM:
Toyota T2 or T3 gearbox with A series bellhousing and other necessities

CONDITION:
Rebuilt would be nice but must at least be complete and not damaged

REASON FOR BUYING:
We broke the gearbox in our rally car, and need an interem box for a rally in a couple weeks until the other one is fixed. Or, we might end up putting close ratio gears in this one and using it long term.

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS:
Will pay good money for it

EXTRA INFO:
A tailshaft would be nice but is a necessity

LOCATION:
Sydney, but will sort out shipping from Australia and NZ
