ITEM:
KB10 - Datsun 1000 Coupe

CONDITION:
Good unrestored original condition

REASON FOR SELLING:
Time to make space for other projects and let others enjoy it.

PRICE AND PRICE CONDITIONS:
Looking for offers over $6,000. This is a piece of history - we want it to go to a good home and be kept original.

EXTRA INFO:

It is with much hesitation that I'm advertising my father and my mint condition 'granny' KB10 for sale. The car is in Sydney, however we would be happy to assist with transportation. It is in original, unmodified and unrestored condition and has just under 100,000 genuine miles on the clock.

The history of the car as we know it is that it was purchased from a Melbourne Datsun dealer (still has the original dealer sticker!) and was owned by an older lady until the mid 90s. It was traded in, and a family friend of ours purchased it from the dealer. He meticulously detailed the car and used it occasionally, before we purchased it off him around five years ago and brought the car to Sydney. It was registered in NSW until recently, but although the registration has lapsed, it would easily pass a roadworthy certificate. We have driven the car for fun on weekends and have taken it to some Datsun meets.

The car is in great mechanical condition, and starts first go. We recently replaced the head gasket as the original gasket had developed a slight water leak. The paint is in good original condition. The only blemishes to the bodywork are a small dot of rust (about half the size of a five cent piece) below the rear quarter window in the flat horizontal panel and a small dent (50 cent piece size) in the bonnet. All interior is in good original condition, and the seats have the rare factory headrest option. We placed aftermarket carpet over the original to protect it. The original owners manual and toolkit is also included.

This car would suit a collector or perhaps a museum. We're looking for it to go to a good home.

G'day Fellas,

The title is pretty self explanitory really - I'm chasing a C20 Vanette diff centre and an a14/15 block for the rally car. Let me know what you've got lying around! I'm happy to arrange for transport.

Cheers!

Chris, it was a bloody brilliant trip. I'd definately reccommend at trip to Japan to anyone on here. I visited Endo San from B-Pro as well as Hirota. It's not that expensive either. If you look back through all the old posts in the blog you can follow the trip.

Here are some larger pics I just nabbed. Let me know if there's anything else you want.

Cheers

Fellas,

I found out something pretty interesting about our site. Head over to ianspropergander blog auto technic pages to check it out, or look closely at the pic below. Cheers!

G'day fellas,

I visited Kazumasa Hirota (owner of the TS Cup Tomei Sunny) the other day. Certainly an interesting place and he was so welcoming!
Mt Fuji TS Cup Sunnys post

I also have the history behind the drawing of the 1200 in the header of the home page, so I'll put that up shortly.

Cheers

Cheers fellas. I put up a few more photos of the JCCA meet just then, and have a few more to come. I'm also visiting the B-Pro shop, as well as Auto Factory Hirota (the shop that owns the yellow TS Cup Tomei 1200) and will put up shots of that. Can't wait!
