I wanted to use the Trojan batteries for a trike project but about 10 years ago
were bought by the largest Chinese battery company almost same time as Volvo was.

Trojan made in the USA were very good quality units, unlike the Chinese ones
which have complained about on ev forums where now lithium is the only choice
and still come from China but are proven units

Is it getting harder to get good rubber for 15 inches? I thought there were heaps still for racing.
That VW is likely a stroked big barrel bubble type EMPI which based on a type 1 1300-1500 block
which uses 86mm stroker crank and 94mm bores/barrel kit so 2.4L usually 200-240hp pulling 1600lbs.
11.5 is really moving!

Are the rears also 15" or bigger and you have a quarter not full cage? dont recall sorry.
The mini spool is a good investment compared to what worn out datsun parts are fetching
What was the vw running 2.xxL and boost?

crazy evolution this car has had over the years!!! congrats on your victories

Here the fastest NA is an S2000 with 2.7L 106mm stroked 90mm bore K series yet with prices
of RB/SR20VE going nuts, cheaper to build a 2.7L KA that unlike Honda/SR needs no sleeves.

Youve built a winning beast!

Yep, respectable to a treasured historic racer, if yours could think it must think its a flogging pole! :)

Dont get that chance to drive those beasts often but the closest for me now is a supercharged subaru sambar kei truck
The wheelbase is the issue @ 84 inches when pushed too far the rear wants to be the alpha but just beautiful
feel coming out and powering through corners very light responsive steering like little porka copies.

I have a zx12r engine ready for a kei car for something like this as old cars from japan are rare in japan
you might appreciate these older gents giving it all, in budget setups. Bike engines are cheap here and cheap kei cars
dont have much to them so you can feel it all much like butt on the tarmac.

Prince engines in quite a few of those racers

Nissan had more success with Benz based Prince L6 in the 60s

the pic on the link is a 1ar-fe and still smaller than pr25dd pictured

I like the idea of a sr20de bottom end with the pr25dd head as the sr
had beefier closed deck bottom end and proven to spin to 10k if oiling
is kept at optimum pressures.

look up frankenstein motorworks channel on yt, he is a legend only
spending 1k usd to get 280hp from the 2ar hybrid engine
