My datto diff is working!!! All say YAY!! I went to this silly little wreckers in Ingham of all places (for those of you who don't live anywhere near me, Ingham=really small town=like 500
people) anyway, I went looking around there and there was one diff that was supposedly out of a 1200, but it was veryery too small, so on I went and there was this 1964 datto ute!! I've never
heared of that before. It was like a cadbury flake chocolate bar, as soon as you touched it mountains of rust came raining down, and the door fell off, but it had a diff! And it had oil in
it! And it works! Now it is in my datto ute and it goes again! I had 4:11 before and this one is slightly lower, but all that it means is that I will have to stop racing everybody off the
lights and that I will be able ot go faster than 60 Miles on the highway!! Everybody has to get excited for me now, OK? Till next time, Ishlet!!

I am wondering if anyone knows whether a sunny 5-speed box will fit my A-series motor, and if it is the same length as my existing ute box? I am able to get one and am
wondering if the excersise will be worth it. Is there a cheaper option, or in fact any other options at all?

shadow69181, ta for your comments, I think that my problem is with my whole driveline, not just the diff, though. The ute I have is a 1971 sports model, very rare, and it used to be a rally
car, so the people who used to own it, a mechanic, swapped the whole driveline around in hope to make it stronger. You figure how it worked, cos I've had the car for 5 or 6 years now and have
broken 4 gearboxes, replaced my tailshaft and uni's about 20 times (that seems to have happened every time I went to do a burnout though) and now it seems that it isn't my diff centre, it
is my bearings that have gone. All of my funds are going to the "save the datto foundation". I would like to hear more about your ute. Mine has a A15 motor, some headwork done, and a 32/36(?)
weber on it! Is yours something similar? From ishlet.

I used to do a 14.4 down the quarter a few years back, until some idiot decided to drop a washer down my manifold and blow up my beautiful, bombed to the max, $4000 motor! NOT HAPPY!
The phase two RPM clutch helped with the wheel spin problem you mentioned. Also, Chris, this is gonna be a real stupid question and I'm prolly gonna be kicked off the site, but what is
a CA18DET? Please don't hate me cos I'm ignorant! ishlet...

I am searching for a competition rally diff and/or a diff and axle that will fit my 1971 Datsun 1200 utility. I have heared that skyline, bluebird and 120Y drivelines may
fit? Please, I am desperate!! Email me. Thanks, Ishlet.
