Hi Guys,

For those who are interested, I have compiled a list below of all the rounds for this years Improved Production (WA) racing calendar. Generally there is a charge to get in on race days ( I think it's $10 - but don't quote me), but the day before the race meeting there is normally a practice day which is no charge to get in.

If you manage to get out to any of the events, make sure you come and say hi.

The list below should be pretty accurate, but I will try and update it if anything changes.

State Championship Rounds

Round 1 - Feb 20 - Short circuit night masters
Round 2 - March 13 - Short Circuit night masters
Round 3 - April 11
Round 4 - July 11
Round 5 - August 1st (TBC)
Round 6 - August 22nd
Round 7 - November 13 - Short Circuit night masters

Non Points scoring rounds.....

Sept 18-19 - Tander Trophy?
Oct 16-17 - IPRA Nationals.

I had a young guy make my radiator & intercooler using PWR cores. Also made my header tank for the cooling system, as well as intercooler piping.

He is based in Catherine Fields (or was last year), brilliant workmanship and very reasonably priced.

When I first read your initial post, I was thinking Sports Sedan would be the only option.

If you are going to the trouble of building a full chassis car, why would you not go for Fibreglass body also? Lighter than the original.

First things first, when you say race car, do you know what category you want to run in? If so, check the rules for that category. There are not too many classes I can think of that would allow you to move the gearbox to the rear in that fashion.
