So maybe use a grinder to cut a slot & take a slotted screwdriver, and back the one way bolts off?

I have a 9/70 2 dr sedan, US spec. I'd have to get the vin in the morn.

The month/yr is on the B pillar.

I'm also looking for vin # history.

Sounds like cars were made in Japan & sent in [vin] groups to other countries.

Hard to tell so far.

Is there a simple & non-destructive way to disable the steering column lock on a 1200?

I'm picking up a new car w/ no keys.

Any ideas?

PS, I'm up for grinding off the one way bolts. Or destroying the ignition section ( I have spares).

We can still get them new for 10 USD over here from the parts house.
