Don't plug it. Route the rear of the head back to the front with a short piece of heater hose. If you don't, youll create an air pocket in the rear and the engine will overheat. Keep the fluid flowing. 👍
Nice view from the video. I had that exact rear view mirror in my 77 B210. I often wonder if Rally racing would be more exciting than Drag racing. Can't see that but who knows. 🙂
Well the racing off season has been really easy this year. No engine rebuild for the Datsun. Of course there has been multi rebuilds, just not the car. Car ran great last year. In the end I just needed more fuel on the nitrous. 👍 Season will start late March and an oil change is all that is needed. Plan on giving it more juice. I need to break into the 10's. 🙂
That tach was the hardest thing to search for in the Pacific Northwest. After my car was totalled, I sold it to someone in the Seattle area for $50. When I pulled it from the junkyard I cut the plug off the wire harness but found out that the plug was just a standard option on the wire harness because car had one.
Peaks around 7k and that where I shift and when I hit the 1/4 mile. Sticking with the 4.11's. Not much racing this year but was able to make it out to Import Face Off in Kent, WA. Car runs a 11.50 consistently. Luckily they had a 11.50 index class. I'm in!!! Took 1st Place. That was a no brainer. 🙂 Opportunities for some more races in September and early October so we'll see.
