Thanks :)

Pendles love your ute and sedan. Might have to catch up sometime and check our your cars, we have rellies in Toowoomba and are up there every few months.

The temp gauge is a bit strange and ours does it too. Weird!

wetdrifwarrior - Is this the body shape you mean?

Would have to be one of the first dual-cab utes in existence!

We're definitely not planning to butcher this car and will be keeping it original. My partner wants to put a set of big shiny rims on it but fortunately that can be done with no destruction!

datto1000wagon - it's the E1 motor so I'm not sure if it's the same as the E12. Engine specs are here:

1200rallycar - yeah the utes seem to be a lot more common than the vans, would be great to see pics if you have any stashed away somewhere though. :)

The badges are complete and original, like all of the car.

I've been looking for a 1200 or 1600 wagon for a while and when this came up I thought why not. Something a bit different, cool old-school styling and a chapter in Datsun history plus, almost ready to register and drive.

Would love to restore it as the paint and rubbers are really tired, but will see how it goes.

Interesting that you have seen some for sale 1200rallycar - were they the exact same (delivery van) model? Having such a hard time finding more info on them..

Just trying to find out a bit more info about these cars, as we bought this one on the weekend. It's actually badged as "Datsun 1200" but it's a 320 series 'delivery van'. But really looks more like a 2 door wagon body shape than a van. Prior to finding this one, I had no knowledge these even existed and even after extensive Google searching I still cannot find much mention of them and no photos.

There are a couple of ute versions of the 320, plus the passenger car series' they were based on - the Bluebird 310, 311 and 312 which were the early precursors to the 510/1600.

I'm putting this post up to see if there is anyone out there with one of these cars or if anyone knows any extra information. I'd love to hear any info or photos of others that anyone might be able to share!

Here's some photos, plus I have put a gallery up at http://www.turbophile.com/v320/ with lots more. I also took some video yesterday of it starting up and driving into the garage which I will post on YouTube (and link to here) soon.

Just chasing a regular old 4 speed manual gearbox to suit A15. Good working condition preferred. Can do local pickup in South East Qld, I'm located on the Gold Coast.

Does anyone have a spare one hanging around they want to get rid of?

Thanks,
Charlotte

I am chasing a new box for my 1200 coupe, as it died today.

Must be in good condition, just a regular 4 speed manual is fine. Located preferably on the Gold Coast but will probably be able to organise pickup from Brisbane, Toowoomba etc.

As cheap as possible please. :) Not looking for anything special, just something that works and is in reasonable condition.

Please call on 0402 322 973 or email charlotte@cmrdesign.net, or just reply here, I will keep checking.

Thanks!
