Yeah lads still got the ute, no updated pics. But the motor is in the bay etc.

The poor thing hasnt driven for too long :(.... but hope to have it back and better than ever soon!

Wow its been along time since I have been on here!! Maybe a vetern memeber now :P

Anyway, after too many years of letting my datto ute sit in the garage I want to get it finished - But I really lack the time with hectic Work. So im intrested if anybody has any recommendations in Brisbane for a restorer / mechanic shop or individual to finish mechanical / engine parts of my Datto.

Things involve removing the Head to check the bores are okay (motor is new not started), fitting a new Radiator, hooking up Webbers, brakes, finishing off, exhaust, Head porting, starting / running in (potenial) etc etc.. its 85%-90% there!

Also will be looking for full body respray recommendations as well. Interior and Engine bay completed already.

I know its bit sad I have to outsource this now after years of working on it since I first go it, but the only other alternative is to leave it sitting for too many more years!

I do miss driving it alot!

Getting rid of two A14 Short Blocks, One was ex turbo motor good pistons (has stripped head stud) and the other is my ex Datrat motor Blueprint bottom end (stuffed rings and bores need work). Need to be picked up ASAP as they have to get chucked on Saturday :( .

From the Picture, it looks like the top of the motor is SR or FJ, not really a motor for first P Plater.

Hey mate, thats a very impressive dash not overdone and looks very clean.

I went with a oil cooler from SWR and has has a sandwich plate, remote filter location, and the (i think they use) Serco core and lines.

Wasnt the cheapest but good qaulity, I havnt recevied the gear yet as it comes with the motor, but will provide a pic when it does.

Well the car has and will have all the Race Bits Aseries style .. But the Full Cams things worries me, i will need to investigate whats required.

Im going to plan to make this, I have my car getting new paint early next year if its done i shall go
