They are measured in uf (micro farad). A condensor from the old 280z should work fine the values on most of them are pretty close if not the same. You could also buy one new from your local auto parts store. They are normally in stock for most vehicles.

Yes the coil grounds threw the dizzy. The part in the diagram that you are seeing with the + going to ground is the condensor wired in. The condensor connects to the hot lead on one side and ground on the other.

Looking at the diagram you are correct. Ignition switched power goes to the dizzy black wire with a white stripe then to the to the coil positive. The blue wire from the dizzy connects to the negitive side of the coil.

Here is a picture of the new floor and trans tunnel in my 1200 sedan. The floor board was rusted out on the passenger side so a whole new floor was fabed out of 18awg steel. Also had subframe connectors made out of 1.5x1.5 inch 120wall square tube. The connectors are welded into the original subframe they continue back and tie into the leafsping brackets. The new transmission crossmember is tied into the new subframe. Should stiffen the chassis really good.

The trans tunnel as been sectioned 9inches to clear the ca18 tranny and rewelded in the back a new piece has been fabricated up front to take up the gap.

Here is a pic of the b210 brake booster and relocated clutch master to make room for the new turbo manifold. Never mind the brake line sticking out there all getting removed and new lines made.

Sorry about the quality of the pics they were taken with my phone.

I know that the ca18det ones are 370cc low impedance. Have know idea what the de ones would be but im sure there smaller.

You can try and look them up by part # on this web site.

I also have the hand held unit but the programing should be the same. Try going into LM Programer. There should be a sensitivity adjustment for the 0-5volt and 0-2volt output. Your guage should be using the 0-5volt. Turn it down to to the minimum update rate. You dont want it updating to fast unless you are loging. Also sounds like you may be
overheating the sensor (high EGTs). Its very important to have the sensor way down stream or you will overheat it and the readings will be all over the place. And what bones said is right. If you have any leaks in your exhaust the extra oxygen will throw the reading off as full lean.
