here's a handful of pics of my car from the QLD Challenge Rally on last Saturday. Still waiting on results, but I don't think I'll win. We were up against some fast and experienced crews and I had to compete on my normal road tyres - Federals! which was a bit of a handicap. They're actually a pretty good road tyre, but they're not going to match any semi-slick...

Your car looks cool, heaps nicer than all the R32's you see down here on the coast .

No offence but in the first two photos it looks like you are only going slow, but I think it is because the background is in focus.

We couldn't have been too slow - the providional results just came through, and we got 3rd outright in speed classification. Very happy with that considering we were on normal road tyres!

But there is a question mark over the outright winner using illegal pacenotes - it was a blind rally with pacenotes prohibited in the supp regs. apparently this guy posted in-car video on a forum where you can hear the navigator calling pacenotes. another competitor saw it and reported it to the clerk of course, so we'll see what happens...

Congratulations, always good to hear results, hopefully its a second place, thats b.s. when people try and cheat like that.

Great results, 3rd for speed and hopefully 2nd outright.

yeah, that's right. I've seen the video, and they were obviously not experienced with pacenotes. I don't think they got any performance advantage out of it so I'm not too worried, but the Clerk of Course may not take too kindly to people pace noting (even badly) when the regs expressly prohibited it.
