hi guys i have been checking out this site for weeks and you have some really good info and tips it helped me to buy my first 1200 ute !!! I pick it up tomorrow hopefully!!
it is a 71 model in resonable condition it will give me hours of fun\frustration doing bits and pieces to it. the only thing that im not to sure about is it still has front drum brakes is this a bad thing ??? they seem to work ok will i be able to do an upgrade without too much stress? any help would be really appreciated. cheers Peely

Hi and welcome peely,
Trust me you wont find a more helpful place then this for your ute.
Plus everyone here are really helpful, theres a wealth of info on here as people on here are running a wide range of motors in their 1200's from A12's to 12A's to L series engines to CA18DET's to SR20DETs

Welcome Peely - your front drums will be fine for the time being - they have worked for 34 years already! Switching to front disks is very straightforward and will present no problems when you decide to do that.
