Make sure you have a good imobilizer in your datto.
I used to keep a metal ruler in the tray I could get in thru the 1/4 window as well as the rod method never bothered with the packing tape as it was just about as fast unlocking it with the ruler as with keys.

My old TRX used to open with my Mums corrolla keys and start with dads subaru keys and I used to get into my mates corona with a paddle pop stick or I once used the zip from my wallet.
the older more warn the lock is the more things you can use.

Well i work for the nrma 24hr rd service and the blue packing tape with a bit of sandpaper stapled to it is the way to go. there are other ways to do but this is the most simple.

I wanna know how the fuk you locked the keys in a datto, both my utes have been a case of you cant push the button down unless the door is shut (ie your in the car or the window is down), or you have to use the key to lock because the door is shut...

Unless you have changed the locks or put central locking with a remote on then I dont see how it is possible...
