just shows that an L series can be a force forcefed
much more promising than most CA and SR motors
They are bullet proof, simple, cheap & historic :)

chalk and cheese really, budget build on a daily versus the best SR drag beast

As a daily the L series stanza is a well thought out build

It's a cool build but your living in a dream world comparing an engine with more off the shelf aftermarket parts than pretty much any other engine on earth with 6 second performance to a dinosaur L series anchor.

Yes it is a dream come true budget mods making a 12 second beast. And old school looks to boot. Thanks for the ideas D better than cookie cutter engine swaps.

They all have a place. The turbo l is years of cheap mods well planned. Where as tge sr you can go faster easier and less stressed.

His new engine has pistons etc cause he wore out the original.

So neither are stock and neither are a cake walk

A just below normal intelligence person can work out any modern popular engine has more OTS parts than a Hoe at kings cross.
This build proves that a nicely not too complicated L series setup should not be so overlooked always for modern engines.
As Mick mentioned its done quite cheaply over time as a daily driver so no easy feat keeping it on the road while modding little by little.
Can beat many factory luxury sports cars be a daily driver rather than a trailer queen. Another great Datsun choice available for the tasteful, brave and oldskool lovers.
