Can a J Series crankshaft fit a series engine?

Can J Series Con Rods bolt unto an A Series crank.

Ps.Got a free J15 pickup that i'm scrapping parts from.

Hi there...no way! a j series is a metric Austin copy.. 3main bearing crank ,so close to the BMC, i have seen a Morris head on one .In fact i have also seen a complete pommy motor bolted up to original gearbox in a GN620 UTE !!!!Quote:

the Jseries i think have longer strokes than the A series, but i believe they are the same journal sizes.

i had the info on all this ####e lying around when i was looking at purchasing a P311 bluebird with the J13 in it.

pull it down yesterday evening. It in a 3 bearing crank so no use to me. the big ends of the rods are to big to fit an A Series. the only thing that looks like it work for an A Series are the pistons.(but the pistons seem to be fairly heavy)
