Gday, its been a long time between posts. This is my drama, I own a 1979 1200 ute, 4 speed and at the moment my temp and fuel gauge are playing up. I put the key in and turn on the ignition until the dash lights come on, The fuel gauge starts to move towards the empty line as if to go to full (i have about half a tank currently) and then it stops and and goes into the fully empty position. If the motor is hot then the same thing happens to the temp gauge. Then if I turn the ignition off then on again nothing moves. If I wait a little while the same thing happens again, they goe up a little then die off. All my other electrics work including all my dash warning lights, flashing lights and bells and whistles. I have checked my earths and they are all clean with good contacts. What are your thoughts.
