im just about to install a set of stanza struts and im just wondering, when i bolt them up will i have to do any modifications to the master cylinder and also do i have to change the wheel cylinders.

and yea ive checked the history, its not very clear cut.

also any help with camber and handling would be greatly appreciated

cheers

you will need
twin reservoir mater cylinder set up for disc drum
and smaller rear wheel cylinders(out of a car with disc front)

your car might already have twin master set up for drum drum, there is debate about whether this needs to be changed

help with camber and handling??? the struts should help with both of them

no need to change master or wheel cylinders

handeling and stuff... depends how willing you are to lip guards and bend them out

but good to relocate the lower control (use 1200 ones) arm mounting point further out on the engine crossmember to get some good negative camber.

you need shorter springs aswell otherwise you will be pointing skyward

could also add an extra 10mm thread to castor rods (120y ones required) to get extra castor

you can use the 1200 top spring plates to go straight in, or use stanza tops and have to enlarge the holes in the strut tower

use 1200 inner tie rod end and steering rod and stanza outer tie rod end

you can undo the top of the strut and tip out the oil, measure it (about 250ml) and put in 20-50 motor oil to stiffen up the shocks also

edit: posted at same time, do you have drum front now or disc??? if you have drum front then you do need to change or modify master as suggested

its 1980 ute so its twin resvoir

i was thinking of just putting the struts in with the stanza lca's and caster rods and hopefully i wont have too much of a problem with + camber.

so is there anything else i got to do besides get new rear wheel cylinders from a 120y or something.

pretty sure you need 1200 lca's and 120y castor rods...
