On the CA there are 4 vacume lines which come out between the inlet manifold on the drivers side of the motor. They go to a canister and some one way valves.

What exactly is this canister used for on the s13?

I thought it was for the climate control, being a vacume resovoir to assist in the switching of the solenoids required for electronic climate control systems. Is this correct?

I ask as I came to the above conclusion and removed it from the CA conversion process, halfway through. But I have noticed in a few pix I have seen this device remains.

So what exactly does it do and is it needed?
