biggles Posted on: 2009/7/24 12:41
ok guys, am feeling more and more like putting an e15et into my b310 rally car(that will not be doing any rallys..)it should be a fairly straight forward conversion, as i think i have all the right bits already...has anybody done this before?(am gonna talk to matto1kute..)should be at least as fast as a stock sr20, and free! just wondering how you fuel inject a sunny tank...hopefully the pump will fit on the stock datto sender... cheers shane.

matty is the man to talk to about it! you can achieve some good numbers with an E15T, go have a look at the N12 forums for more info on the engine.

nope. u can take the oil cooler of and use a A series ring gear. then u need to cut a hole in the engine backing plate

how did u do the engine mounts? and also i was told that that the E15 bell housing is simalar to the A-series, is this true? having said that i asume the clutch would be the same?
Have you got any pics?

no good pics but very soon i have to swap my conversion to another ute so ill take some then. mounts really sucked. one side is easy to make ur own engine bracket but the other side i made a mount that is suported by the back bottom bolt of the alternator.

Wiki has some info, might make things a bit clearer. It definatley worth looking into! E15's can get somme good numbers with a bit of work.

Did you ever get it engineered Matt?
