Thats nuts and not a usual layout so could be using motogucci transmission?
Alternator is overkill and dizzie could use 90 degree cap, those wires scary on the tank
Looks like a Japanese cruiser frame not sure but like Harley just using Guzzi tranny/diff

just recall that rare vtwin of that layout
Honda had a v4 also north south layout but
Guzzi box is noticeable in the California
The 1400 Flying Fortress had a 6 speed as
did later 1400 (1,380 cc) model with its
claimed 95 hp and 89 lb-ft.

Moto Guzzi Californian tranny 6speed internals like Suzuki 1.5 swift fwd
but lightweight casing to save weight not needing axle support strength.
Could make a decent rwd box for light 100hp datsun.
