1971 Datsun 1200, set up for Autocross and hillclimbs. 12A Bridgeport, just rebuilt. Aluminum flywheel, new carbon clutch, side draft 45 DCOE Weber. Car can not be street driven, but is very fast and driver friendly. Full Cage, Tube framed from the firewall back, 4 link rear suspension, adjustable coil over on all 4 wheels. All RX7 drivetrain, disk brakes, and suspension. Fresh Goodyear road race slicks. Fresh paint, fiberglass fenders. Kirkey aluminum seat. Limited slip 4.44 rear end. Ran a 13.7 second, 100 mph quarter mile with current set up, could run in the 12 seconds with soft springs for better launch/hook up. Could be converted to a dedicated 1/4 mile car. Will e mail pictures and more info on request. $5000 firm - you could not build this car for that price in parts alone. 530 582 4239 Car is in Northern California, USA can deliver to nearby locations. Could be shipped, buyer pays all costs.

It is a coupe (fastback). The body is in very good condition, although there are a few small cracks in the rear fiberglass fender flares. There is no rust anywhere. The floor was cut out and replaced with a flat sheetmetal foor and large transmission tunnel. This made room for the RX7 transmission and exhaust system, which both fit in the tunnel. The floor is welded to the square tubing which forms the new frame and ties into the extensive roll cage.
I have built and raced the car for about 5 years now, but with 2 small children in the family I really do not have the time to spend with it anymore. The fun factor is really large with this car, you can autocross, hillclimb, take it to open track days or drag race it. There is room to put a 13B rotary in it for even more power. I stuck with the 12A because of the racing class I could stay in for hillclimbs.

I spent last weekend in Idaho, in the northwest USA. I ran the car in a hillclimb there called Bogus Basin. It took first in class and was second overall by 6 tenths of a second to a Cobra replica with tons of horsepower and dollars invested.
This car is very stable and easy to drive fast. A younger, more talented driver could really be successful with it. For $5000 you get some serious bang for the buck. I need to find a good home for it after all the time and energy I have put into developing it. E mail for pictures!

Hello to all, I really would like to find a buyer before winter, and I am be willing to meet a serious individual at a dragstrip or autocross so they can experience the car in person, so e mail me for pictures and more information. I did not race it enough this season to even come close to wearing out the race tires.
(There is one picture in the photo album here, it is #1195 in the misc. section)
I really want this car to go to a good home, so I do not want to put it on e bay. I can't lower the price but I can add in 2 spare transmissions, a spare 12A RX7 motor, and 2 13x7 aluminum wheels.
E mail for pictures.
