perhaps already sold? I can't find a listing on eBay. It's got wats and the chrome Deluxe grilleQuote: topgear.com.ph
Auction finds: Gloriously rare Datsun Sunny pickup is looking for a new home Reserve price starts at £7,500
Here is a really old Japanese car for sale with a tiny engine and a small footprint. It is a B20 Datsun Sunny truck, and it could be just the cheer you need this summer.
Because this gloriously rare and, frankly, gloriously tiny slice of Japanese metal is coming up for auction via Car & Classic with a reserve price of just £7,500 (around P540,000). The auction doesn’t start until August 16, but one suspects you’ll be prebidding almost immediately.
We’re told this particular Sunny truck was found in “deep storage” in a South African Datsun museum where it was apparently well looked after. The condition is described as being “mostly original.”
The 998cc engine (!) starts, runs and motivates the Sunny truck’s diminutive stature—all 3.8 meters of it, meaning it’s shorter than a Ford Fiesta—while the engine bay looks...about what you’d expect of a car originally built in 1970.
The drive belt apparently needs replacing, true, but otherwise “no known mechanical issues were reported” from either the engine or four-speed gearbox. Paint? Fine. Bit of bubbling here and there. All the trims, rubbers and seals are still...trimming and sealing. It’s got 13-inch wheels that could use a spit and polish, maybe throw on some new tires, but look, it’s an old pickup.
The interior will need a once-over, with some corrosion and age-related wear visible, and there’s no radio, but look, it’s got “modernized seats,” according to the listing! All the electrics apparently work, and out of the factory, it came with a speedo (handy), temp and fuel gauges (also handy), and an oil-pressure light.
As we said, the auction is accepting prebids right now, kicking off proper on August 16 and finishing on August 21. If you’re in the UK, happy hunting.

I wonder if Freek's museum closed? Or are there other Datsun museums in South Africa Quote: professionalpickup.com: Pickup Perfection: Classic, Rare, and Ready for the Road Trucks for Auction
Built on the Sunny’s VB10 estate chassis, the compact 1970 model is an incredibly rare utility coupe, making just 62hp from its 998cc engine — enough for light duties and to reduce its annual road tax obligation. But the main appeal of the Sunny is undoubtedly its characterful appearance and condition. Exhumed from ‘deep storage’ at a Nissan museum 120 miles outside of Johannesburg, it’s been well looked after and repainted at some point.

Does not look like a Museum piece especially when you consider the dude in central America and the quality of his 1000 cars are 10 times better than this. but after seeing the SpeedHunter link it has to be this one by the features, grille, rally lights and wonky bonnet lines. https://s3.amazonaws.com/speedhunters- ... e-museum-059-1200x800.jpghttps://www.speedhunters.com/2019/03/t ... eum-youve-never-heard-of/chrome original dog bowls are painted grey on this before the wats went on I suppose. The one piece rear window on the VB10 van is what temp owner who painted it did as well the original 2 piece rear windows get very wobbly over time but are awesome in summer. https://s3.amazonaws.com/speedhunters- ... e-museum-063-1200x800.jpgIm looking at a ute also but completely rusted floors, tray and likely all chassis so will only consider it as a halve shell to sit on top of a tube chassis Legends or Mini Grand base like this Honda N600. Its the best we can do to save whats left and rotten but incredible attention to detail. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1971-honda-n600-6/
