Just to add to the info here - in most states of Australia - to win a slander/defamation case, all they have to do is prove that your comments lowered the reputation of the person. The fact that the comments may be true, and can even be proven to be true DOES NOT actually count as a defence in most states. IIRC Victoria is one exception, not sure on other states but even here, it's still only a partial defence, not a guaranteed result.
Which is REALLY BAD because if some filthy low life scumbag thinks nothing of stealing from their customers, they'd also think nothing of suing them just to get the money even though they know that on an ethical level, they are about as disgusting as possible. Obviously this comment is a general statement and in no way is directed at any specific business/business owner, especially not any that may or may not have been the subject of a recently deleted thread.

scumbag crims sue for defamation nothing new
Yet! I had the idiot box on today and started laughing when talk show hosts on the TV morning show stated their opinion with no evidence surely prodded by NWO directives to say that it wasnt Muslims that should be blamed for the Boston explosions but radical Christians WTF! even the Police dont have this evidence and talk show hosts already slandering a group of people. Its just like 911 when retards of the street & news reporters new more than the Police. Surely we are been setup to encourage Police States worldwide even on the internet.

So unfamilia asked for it to be deleted? Being in Australia, maybe he had something to fear.
Since I'm not in Australia, and neither is this web site, i'll summarize the alledgedly fraudulent experience. A friend of a club member alledgedly paid thousands up front to Dr_Datto to work on his ute. Now two years later, he alleged that the work has not been done. The most interesting thing to me was that Dr_Datto immediately deleted an old post. For example, Dr_Datto posted the following in July 2010, but deleted it last week after the allegation was posted: Quote: Hi Guys I would expect any person of good faith not try to delete facts. But perhaps it wasn't a fact or there was some other reason to delete a two-plus year old post. Dr. Datto's business information, including address and phone number, are available on various web sites. It is public information.

How come ddgonzal/moderator has not commented on this thread. Its unfortunate that one could get ripped off so easily. I wouldnt want to lose this 1200 forum but I think the deletion of genuine complaint/warning threads is just WRONG!! However if moderator felt that it may have had some legal ramifications then it can be excused. Lets enjoy the forum, thats why we're here anyway!!

I have nothing to fear dd, the member also updates their signature I noticed when they were on line at same time. I looked up and yes in Australia there could be ramifications legally for those who posted options which may be defamatory.
I thought I was impartial trying to get more facts. I didn't ask for the thread to be deleted directly but suggested to moderators it should be for possible litigious ramifications for individuals and possibly the site hosts.

Um ramifications for opinions I still feel is unlikely as we are not a massive reader or subscriber entity like Facebook or a freedom of speech site that scares the big wigs like Twitter. At the same time communication is very important and if a victim receives none its very frustrating.
Dr Phil? does he look like an old otherwise grey Cliff Richard with curly brown died hair? At least Obama puppet has enlightened us that the Boston Bombing was a terrorist act as we wouldnt recognise that without him, we laughed with friend staying over the idiots on the idiot box during breakfast, their insight only an hour or so after it happened that is was an effort by Christian Supremist group or indivdual that'll bring on a Police State to the US, yet will they get sued by Christian Supremists? ummm doubt it. Atm there are too many rules setup to encourage fraudulent workshops & individuals. You can view topic.
