Most kits use Central locking remote and module but not the actuators as they arent strong enough. In their place the kits use solenoids like that on a starter motor.
If you want to remove the handles, you will still need to have a visually noticable means of opening the door from the outside. This is a registration requirement so that emergency services can easily enter your car if you are trapped in an accident. You should be able to find the actuator kit here

andos did something like that... haven't seen him around lately...
here's some pics of his ute without handles: ![]() ![]() Quote: The statement on the vicroads guide, is "you must have some form of mechanical device to open the door from the outside". Since door poppers aren't 'mechanical' (require electrical switches) you still need another device. I wanted poppers, but with the rego and the cost l decided against it. here's the thread. Nice looking ute!

I do believe Australia has a peace treaty with the USA, so it shouldnt be too difficult to order it straight from Johnny Howards Uncle Sam.
You could also try locally and get some out of the bootlids of early commodores VK VL etc. Quote: We're all pawns in a game, the USA's miniture, Suffa.

i used a piece of tube witha washer welded on the inside end of it for the guide and an overturned stainless welch plug for a flush mounted button with no handle, i think it looks good
no idea if this pic will work but see what happens its a smoother look without the worry of door poppers but the ones out of commodores for the boot are mighty strong and there is a kit similar from jaycar ben You can view topic.
